Every time I try to launch internet explorer, it dissapers a few seconds after it opens, its weird, then when I ask the computer to find the problem, it gives me an error 12029 message. So, i am not able to get online through IE, but for now I am using firefox, however I prefer internet explorer. Can anyone/someone help me figure this out?

Hi regulargirl. Try disabling your firewall to rule out any conflicts there. It may just be a firewall setting. You may also want to try shutting down your anti-virus as well. A settings conflict can also be the cause of error 12029.
